HeartEase Privacy Policy
Welcome to HeartEase (the "App"), provided by PivotNet Technology Co., Ltd. ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the App outside mainland China, including in the United States.
The App is designed around minimum-necessary collection, on-device-first storage, and no sale of personal information. Most wellness records are created and stored on your device. Subscription and attribution features introduced in this version require limited purchase, entitlement, analytics, attribution, and anti-fraud processing through Apple and our service providers, as described below.
1. Information We Process
| Category | Purpose | Storage or Processing |
|---|---|---|
| Rhythm reference values estimated from fingertip camera use | Show current results, local history, trends, and reference summaries | Stored on your device |
| Manual entries such as blood pressure, blood oxygen, blood sugar, water intake, and related logs | Maintain your personal archive and generate trend views | Stored on your device |
| Self-check questionnaire answers and scores | Display self-reference results and suggestions | Stored on your device |
| Optional profile fields such as birth date and biological sex | Personalize reference calculations such as cardiac age and comparison trends | Stored on your device; you may edit or clear them in the App |
| Subscription and purchase information | Show products, process purchases, restore purchases, verify membership status, prevent fraud, and provide support | Processed by Apple and our subscription service providers; we do not attach this data to your local wellness records |
| Limited app event, attribution, and device information related to subscription operations | Understand purchase flow reliability, receipt verification, campaign attribution, fraud prevention, and technical diagnostics | Processed by our service providers for app operation, subscription support, attribution, and anti-fraud purposes |
We do not require account registration. We do not ask for your name, government ID, phone number, email address, or social login credentials to use the core App. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your wellness records for advertising, credit, insurance, employment, or eligibility decisions.
2. Camera and Device Permissions
| Permission or Capability | When It Is Used | How It Works |
|---|---|---|
| Rear camera | Fingertip rhythm reference | Video frames are processed in app memory for light-signal features. They are not saved to Photos, not written as video files, and not uploaded by this feature. |
| Flashlight | Fingertip rhythm reference | Used as a light source while the fingertip flow is active. |
| Network access | Legal/support pages, subscription products, purchase, restore, and entitlement verification | Used to load web pages and perform subscription-related operations. Core local wellness records remain on your device. |
3. Fingertip Rhythm Processing
The fingertip rhythm feature starts only after you open the feature and grant camera permission. Camera frames are analyzed on the device to estimate reference values such as cadence. The frames are not used for face recognition, identity verification, advertising profiles, or model training.
When the session ends or is canceled, transient frames are released from memory. The App stores only final numeric reference results in your local archive so you can review trends on your device.
4. Subscriptions, Purchases, and Entitlements
The App offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions, including weekly and yearly membership options. Purchases are charged to your Apple ID through the App Store. Apple may provide us or our subscription service providers with receipt, transaction, product, renewal, and expiration information so we can unlock or restore membership features.
We may process limited purchase-flow events, product identifiers, receipt verification status, entitlement expiration time, and attribution or anti-fraud signals. These are used to operate the membership service, troubleshoot purchases, prevent abuse, and improve purchase reliability. They are not combined with your local wellness records for advertising or profiling.
5. Analytics, Attribution, Tracking, and Anti-Fraud
We use third-party service providers, including attribution, analytics, subscription infrastructure, and anti-fraud SDK providers, to operate subscription features, measure promotion performance, diagnose purchase flow reliability, verify receipts, restore membership, and reduce abusive or fraudulent activity.
Depending on your device settings, App version, region, and consent choices, these providers may process limited technical and event data such as device identifiers, advertising identifiers when authorized, vendor or app-instance identifiers, app launch and purchase-flow events, product identifiers, receipt verification status, entitlement expiration time, country or region signals, network diagnostics, and anti-fraud signals.
If iOS asks for permission to track and you allow it, we and our attribution providers may use the advertising identifier (IDFA) and related attribution signals to measure advertising or campaign performance. If you deny or later disable tracking permission, we do not use IDFA for tracking, and your core App features remain available. You can change this choice in iOS Settings.
We do not use your local wellness records, fingertip camera frames, manual health entries, questionnaire answers, optional profile fields, or reference results to create advertising profiles or target ads across other companies' apps or websites. We do not provide these local wellness records to attribution or advertising providers.
6. Service Providers and Third Parties
We use service providers only as needed to operate the App. Depending on your version and region, these may include Apple for App Store purchases, subscription infrastructure providers for product loading and receipt validation, analytics or attribution providers used for subscription reliability and campaign measurement, and anti-fraud providers used to protect purchase and entitlement systems.
We do not give these providers your local wellness records. We do not sell or rent your wellness records. We do not use local wellness records for cross-context behavioral advertising.
7. Local Storage, Deletion, and Retention
Your wellness records, manual entries, questionnaire results, and optional profile fields are stored locally on your device. The current version does not provide cloud backup or cross-device sync for these records. If you delete the App or replace your device without a backup, local records may not be recoverable.
Subscription status may be retained by Apple and our subscription service providers for as long as needed to process purchases, restores, refunds, fraud prevention, accounting, legal compliance, and support.
8. Your Choices and Rights
- You may revoke camera permission in iOS Settings. Camera-based features will stop working until permission is enabled again.
- You may allow or deny tracking permission when iOS presents the App Tracking Transparency prompt. You may later change this choice in iOS Settings. Denying tracking does not block core wellness features.
- You may delete local App data by deleting the App from your device.
- You may manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.
- You may contact us to request information about purchase-support data that may be associated with your transaction or support request.
- If you are a California resident or otherwise have applicable privacy rights, you may contact us to exercise access, deletion, correction, or opt-out rights where they apply. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are commonly used in U.S. state privacy laws.
9. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including iOS sandbox storage, limiting network use for local wellness records, and using secure transport where subscription and support services require network communication. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and your device environment may affect security.
11. Important Wellness Notice
HeartEase is not a medical device. Results and content are for personal wellness reference only and are not a diagnosis, treatment recommendation, prescription, or substitute for professional medical advice. 12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when laws, App features, or subscription services change. Material changes will be communicated through an updated page, App notice, or release notes where appropriate. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the updated policy to the extent permitted by applicable law.
